Update on current operations from our leadershipRead Letter
Every day, these smart, passionate people work hard to help Let Me Run reach and inspire as many boys as possible.
My first time coaching Let Me Run I saw what it could do for the boys and I was hooked!!! I have coached seven seasons. The boys say it better than I can in their comments at the end of the season…. “I like it that we can be ourselves and run with others, I like to do the lessons, I think I work better with people now, I like to encourage other people to do better, I used to not like running and now I love it, It has been lighting up my weeks since I started and it helps me get past being bullied, I have improved in anger management and letting me be myself, I learned to keep running when I did not want to, It helped me get more friends and made me faster, we get to run we learn to encourage others, and finally give people the courage to be themselves.” I feel very fortunate and proud to be a part of such a great program!!!
As a former educator and track and field coach, I have always believed in the power running as a tool to build relationships, and improve lives. When I became a Let Me Run coach, I became totally immersed in it as a coach, and saw how powerful the lessons were for my team members. One of my favorite things about Let Me Run, is that it empowers the boys to be themselves. I have always tried to instill this in my own two sons. It has always been my goal in life to affect as many people as possible in a positive manner. As Greater Charlotte Regional Director for Let Me Run, I have the opportunity to do this for close to 1000 boys, and almost 200 coaches. I wake up with a smile on my face every morning knowing that I have been blessed with this opportunity.
